Our Vineyards

Hunt Road Vineyard

The Hunt Road vineyard has been carefully nurtured by our family for over 25 years.

With a northerly aspect and ideal soil profile consisting of deep sand over orange clay interspersed with ironstone - a superb combination for grape growing.

The sandy soil has excellent drainage while the deep clay layer provides exceptional moisture retention for even ripening, allowing the vines to thrive throughout warmer spring/summer periods and ensuring minimal irrigation is required.

Hunt Road - Grenache

Planted in the 60s these 60 year old bush vines know how to rock. Hand-pruned, hand-picked and at times hand weeded, they command attention. Well drained deep sand over clay allows the vines to regulate growth resulting in balanced canopies with optimum fruit exposure.

 Hunt Road - Shiraz

Planted in 1997, the Shiraz vines are sustainably irrigated with reclaimed water and mulched to aid in water retention. The fruit characters from this vineyard are vibrant yet elegant.

Ingoldby Road Vineyard

Family owned for over two decades, the vineyard is our most picturesque, home to a vast array of flora and fauna with the stunning, redgum-lined Pedler’s creek meandering through the property.

Located on a red alluvial strip through McLaren Flat, the vineyard consists of red loamy soil with ironstone deposits. The soil has a crumbly texture and healthy balance of sand, silt and clay, drainage is excellent and rich in valuable nutrients that benefit the vines.

Ingoldby Road - Shiraz

The ‘Old Girls’ are our oldest vineyard, thickened twisted vines that reflect 70 years of viticulture in McLaren Flat. These vines have been nurtured to produce fruit of exceptional quality and robust character.
